Turkish-Style Beans in Tomato Sauce with Rice
A comforting Anatolian dish made heartier with meat and served with rice.
Ingredients
- 1 jar CEREN Beans in Tomato Sauce
- 200 g beef or lamb cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup hot water or broth
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook the meat: In a pot, heat olive oil. Sear beef cubes until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Sauté base: In the same pot, cook onion and green pepper until soft. Add paprika and stir for 1 minute.
Add beans: Stir in CEREN Beans in Tomato Sauce and browned meat. Pour in hot water or broth.
Simmer: Cover and simmer on low heat for 25–30 minutes until meat is tender and flavors meld.
Serve: Traditionally served with rice pilaf or bulgur pilaf.
