Turkish Red Bean Stew
A comforting home-style stew made with CEREN Boiled Red Beans, vegetables, and tomato paste.
Ingredients
- 2 cups CEREN Boiled Red Beans (drained)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 carrot, diced
- 2 tablespoons CEREN Tomato Paste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups hot water or vegetable broth
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Sauté base: Heat olive oil in a pot. Add onion, carrot, and green pepper. Cook until softened.
Add tomato paste: Stir in CEREN Tomato Paste, cumin, and paprika. Cook for 2 minutes to release flavor.
Simmer: Add CEREN Boiled Red Beans and hot water or broth. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 20–25 minutes until flavors meld.
Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve warm with rice or bulgur pilaf.
