Muhammara-Style Hot Pepper Spread
A spicy, nutty dip inspired by Syrian muhammara, using CEREN Hot Pepper Paste as the flavor base.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons CEREN Hot Pepper Paste
- ½ cup walnuts, lightly toasted
- 2 slices stale bread, soaked in 2 tbsp water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon CEREN Pomegranate Molasses
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
Blend base: Place CEREN Hot Pepper Paste, walnuts, soaked bread, garlic, olive oil, and pomegranate molasses in a food processor.
Season: Add cumin, chili flakes, and salt. Blend until smooth but slightly textured.
Adjust: Add more olive oil if too thick.
Serve: Transfer to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and serve with warm bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks.
