Mediterranean Fig Garland & Halloumi Salad
A fresh and savory salad with CEREN Dried Figs Garland, grilled cheese, and a lemony dressing.
Ingredients
- 8 figs from CEREN Dried Figs Garland, sliced
- 150 g halloumi cheese, sliced and grilled
- 4 cups arugula or mixed greens
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons walnuts, toasted
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Grill cheese: Heat a nonstick pan and grill halloumi slices until golden on both sides.
Prepare dressing: Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, honey, salt, and pepper.
Assemble salad: Place greens on a platter, top with sliced figs, grilled halloumi, onion, and walnuts.
Dress: Drizzle with the lemon-honey dressing.
Serve: A Mediterranean-style dish balancing sweet, salty, and tangy flavors.
