Italian Burrata & Heirloom Tomato Salad with EVOO Drizzle
Inspiration: In Southern Italy, the highest-quality olive oils are used raw to dress simple, fresh ingredients. Here, EVOO is the hero — not just a fat but a flavor enhancer.
Ingredients
- 2 large heirloom tomatoes, thickly sliced
- 1 ball burrata cheese (or fresh mozzarella)
- ¼ cup CEREN Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon CEREN Balsamic Vinegar (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves
- Flaky sea salt & freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Arrange base: Lay tomato slices on a serving plate. Place burrata in the center.
- Dress: Drizzle generously with CEREN Extra Virgin Olive Oil so it pools on the plate. If desired, add a light splash of balsamic vinegar for acidity.
- Season & garnish: Sprinkle with flaky salt, black pepper, and torn basil leaves.
- Serve: With crusty bread to soak up the olive oil.
👉 Here, EVOO is not cooked — it’s the star, carrying fruity, peppery notes that elevate simple ingredients.
