Italian Baked Beans with Mozzarella
An Italian-inspired baked dish where CEREN Beans in Tomato Sauce are layered with cheese and baked until bubbly.
Ingredients
- 1 jar CEREN Beans in Tomato Sauce
- 1 zucchini, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes
- ½ cup grated mozzarella
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
Prepare vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion, zucchini, and bell pepper until softened. Season with oregano and chili flakes.
Assemble casserole: In a baking dish, spread vegetables, then add CEREN Beans in Tomato Sauce. Mix gently.
Add cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling.
Serve: Garnish with fresh basil. Serve as a vegetarian main or side.
