Harissa-Spiced Lamb Tacos with Pickled Red Onion
A fusion recipe — Mexican tacos meet North African spice, with CEREN Harissa Spice Blend giving lamb bold depth.
Ingredients
- 500 g ground lamb
- 2 teaspoons CEREN Harissa Spice Blend
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 6 small tortillas
- ½ cup CEREN Cucumber Pickles, sliced thin
- ½ red onion, pickled in lemon juice & salt for 30 minutes
- ½ cup yogurt mixed with lemon juice & mint
Instructions
Cook lamb: Heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic. Add lamb, breaking apart. Season with CEREN Harissa Spice Blend, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
Warm tortillas: Lightly toast tortillas in a dry skillet.
Assemble tacos: Fill tortillas with spiced lamb, top with pickled onion, cucumber pickles, and drizzle with mint yogurt.
