Bulgur Salad (Kisir Style)
A refreshing and tangy salad made with CEREN Bulgur, fresh herbs, and pomegranate molasses. Light yet satisfying.
Ingredients
- 1 cup CEREN Bulgur (fine)
- 1 ½ cups hot water
- 2 tablespoons CEREN Tomato Paste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- ½ bunch parsley, chopped
- ½ bunch fresh mint, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
Soften the bulgur: Place CEREN Bulgur in a large bowl. Pour hot water over it, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
Prepare the flavor base: In a small pan, gently heat olive oil and stir in CEREN Tomato Paste. Cook for 1–2 minutes. Pour this mixture over the bulgur and mix well.
Add vegetables and herbs: Stir in green onions, cucumber, tomatoes, parsley, and mint.
Make the dressing: Whisk together lemon juice, pomegranate molasses, salt, and red pepper flakes.
Combine: Pour the dressing over the bulgur mixture and toss gently. Chill for 20 minutes before serving.
