Bulgur Pilaf with Vermicelli
A classic Turkish-style pilaf made with CEREN Bulgur for Pilaf and golden roasted vermicelli.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups CEREN Bulgur for Pilaf
- ½ cup vermicelli noodles
- 3 tablespoons butter or olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cups hot chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Toast vermicelli: In a wide pot, melt butter or heat oil. Add vermicelli noodles and toast until golden brown.
Add onion and bulgur: Stir in onion and cook until soft. Add CEREN Bulgur for Pilaf, salt, and pepper. Stir for 2 minutes.
Simmer: Pour in hot broth, stir once, cover, and simmer over low heat for 18–20 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
Rest and serve: Let rest for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve alongside grilled meat or yogurt.
