Brown Bulgur Patties (Fried)
Crispy patties made with CEREN Esmer Köftelik Bulgur, vegetables, and spices — perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cup CEREN Esmer Köftelik Bulgur
- 1 ½ cups hot water
- 1 potato, boiled and mashed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
Soak the bulgur: Place CEREN Esmer Köftelik Bulgur in a bowl and cover with hot water. Let it soften for 15 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
Prepare the mixture: Add mashed potato, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, and spices to the bulgur. Mix until it holds together. If too soft, add extra breadcrumbs.
Shape the patties: Form small round patties with damp hands.
Fry: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry patties on both sides until golden and crispy.
Serve: Serve hot with a side of yogurt dip or salad.
