Baked Halva Triangles with Warm Honey
A traditional-inspired dessert made with CEREN Plain Halva Triangles, baked lightly and drizzled with warm honey. Crispy on the outside, soft and nutty inside.
Ingredients
- 6 CEREN Plain Halva Triangles
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 2 tablespoons crushed walnuts or pistachios (for garnish)
- Fresh orange zest (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Prepare the halva: Place the CEREN Plain Halva Triangles on the tray. Brush each piece lightly with melted butter to help them caramelize while baking.
Bake: Transfer the tray to the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, just until the edges turn golden and slightly crisp. Be careful not to overbake, as halva can dry out quickly.
Prepare the honey drizzle: In a small saucepan, gently warm honey with cinnamon over low heat for 1–2 minutes. Stir until combined and aromatic.
Assemble the dessert: Remove baked halva triangles from the oven and place them on a serving plate. Immediately drizzle the warm honey mixture over them.
Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with crushed walnuts or pistachios, and add a touch of fresh orange zest for brightness. Serve warm as a delightful after-dinner treat with Turkish tea or coffee.
