Italian Sausage & Peperoni Pickle Pizza
Inspiration: Southern Italian pizzas often use pickled peppers to cut through rich meats and cheeses. Here, CEREN Mildly Spicy Peperoni Pickles add brightness and heat without overpowering.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 3 tablespoons CEREN Tomato Paste
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 100 g Italian sausage, crumbled (or spicy beef sausage)
- ½ cup CEREN Mildly Spicy Peperoni Pickles, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Olive oil, for brushing
Instructions
Prepare base: Roll out pizza dough onto a baking tray. Brush edges with olive oil.
Assemble: Spread tomato paste as base. Sprinkle mozzarella. Add sausage, onion slices, and CEREN Mildly Spicy Peperoni Pickles.
Bake: Cook at 220°C (425°F) for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
Finish: Garnish with fresh basil.
