Spicy Arrabbiata Pasta
An Italian-inspired pasta sauce made fiery with chili and CEREN Tomato Paste.
Ingredients
- 300 g penne pasta
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons CEREN Tomato Paste
- 1 can chopped tomatoes (400 g)
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Cook pasta: Boil penne in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
Make sauce: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add garlic and chili flakes, sauté briefly. Stir in CEREN Tomato Paste and cook for 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes: Pour in canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.
Combine: Toss pasta with the sauce, adding a splash of reserved water if needed.
Serve: Garnish with basil and Parmesan cheese.
