Turkish-Style Pea Stew
A comforting home-style dish with CEREN Boiled Peas, potatoes, and carrots simmered in tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 cups CEREN Boiled Peas (drained)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 potato, diced
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 2 tablespoons CEREN Tomato Paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups hot water or vegetable broth
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh dill or parsley for garnish
Instructions
Sauté base: Heat olive oil in a pot. Add onion, cook until golden. Stir in CEREN Tomato Paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add vegetables: Add potato and carrot. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Simmer: Pour in broth and add CEREN Boiled Peas. Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer 25–30 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Serve: Garnish with parsley or dill. Serve hot with rice or bulgur pilaf.
